Summer is here, here’s what you need to know to make your legs look their best. Follow this advice to rock your favorite shorts, skirts, and bikinis.
1- Laser Hair Removal
This one’s kind of a no-brainer, right? You won’t feel confident wearing a bathing suit if your stems are all kinds of stubbly. For soft, smooth, touchable skin all summer, consider laser hair removal. Each treatment costs an average of 800 AED, for the lower legs, and six sessions usually recommended. If you are seriously considering a few laser sessions, check our deals for hugely discounted prices.

The single most important element. If you’ve been sitting on your butt all winter, chances are you’re not going to be able to pull on a pair of hot pants and look like a swimsuit model.
If you have been slacking off with your fitness regime, it’s never too late to start up again. You’ll begin reaping the health benefits immediately, just don’t expect to see results overnight. Focus on cardio and weight-bearing exercises that target the glutes and thighs.
Remember to start off slowly, and ease back into your routine. Aim for at least twenty minutes of cardio at least five times a week, and three weight-bearing sessions. Be sure to space the weight lifting workouts a day or two apart; don’t do them on consecutive days. If you don’t have weights, such exercises as bridges, squats, and lunges are very effective.
For those of you who have been sticking to a fitness plan, good job! Your goal is to amp it up a little bit. Maybe add one or two new targeted exercises to your routine. Training will challenge your muscles in different ways and possibly even hit some that you’ve been neglecting.
Spending so much time outdoors in the sun and can dry out your skin, and it’s important to replace that moisture. Plus, all of that sweating washes away lotions and sunscreens, so they need to be applied periodically. Reapplication throughout the day will keep your dermis hydrated, but opt for a waterproof form of SPF if you plan on swimming.
Also, after hiding your legs in warm clothing all winter, you may feel a little self-conscious about their pallor. Should that be the case, take advantage of the moisturizing body lotions which offer a hint of color. The results are very subtle compared to self-tanners, and there’s no margin of error or staining to worry about during application. The lotion doesn’t rub off on your clothing, and you certainly won’t look orange or unnatural in any way.
Even if your body lotion contains sunscreen, it likely does not have a sun protection factor above 15, which means it is not protecting you from the sun’s rays. An SPF of 40 or higher, and which blocks UVA and UVB rays, is an absolute MUST. Over time, even incidental sun exposure (think running errands, walking the dog, waiting for the bus, etc.) can prematurely age your skin. So, on days when you know, you’ll be spending a significant amount of time outdoors, you need to be especially vigilant about applying (and periodically reapplying) sun protection.
5- Don’t Forget your Feet
What good is having traffic-stopping legs, if your feet are funky looking? We’ve all been grossed out by those who insist on wearing flip-flops, even though they have corns and inch-thick calluses. Don’t be that lady. Give your tootsies plenty of TLC, and keep them pretty.
Genetic blessings, and sometimes youth, put certain women ahead of the game. However, great legs can belong to any woman through a combination of fitness and constant skin care to keep those gems toned, firm and smooth. A little maintenance goes a long way.
